Learning Objectives
The course will emphasize the idea of writers and lecturers interacting with GenAI Chatbots to help the iterative development process of a story.
Objective 1
To develop industry standard story writing skills (Three Act), develop your ability to write synopsis of feature film through an iterative feedback process from GenAI.
Objective 2
Understanding what is character? Principles of Story and their relationships and conflicts. To write character profiles and script outlines with AI analysis process.
Objective 3
Introduce story structure and dramatic scenes to gain insight into the business of screenwriting and its ethical use in industry settings.

About the Course
Target: Undergraduate film students at two local universities
Course title: Screenwriting with AI (8 sessions workshops)
Length of session: 8 weeks of implementation, 2.5 hours per week
AI AND CREATIVE: THE DISRUPTIVE NATURE
With the rise of LLMs and GenAI, artificial intelligence has integrated into every aspect of human daily life, and all industries, including education, are inseparable from AI. We have become accustomed to using AI, much like smartphones, and it has even become a dependency. Could excessive reliance on AI diminish our ability to think? Will students bypass thinking and directly use the answers provided by GenAI? We must think about it.
Prohibition is impossible, as the situation is quite similar to when calculators were invented, and search engines became popular. The evolution of technology is inevitable. Instead of banning it, we should learn how to utilize it more effectively.
